It’s hard to believe another year has come and gone. Here at DRG, we reflect on the biggest highlights of another great year in the exciting, ever-evolving QSR space:
EV Charging Taco Bell
As another exciting company first, in October 2022, we opened our first solar-powered electric vehicle(EV) charging station at our south San Francisco location on El Camino Real. According to reporting by Forbes here, hooking up to one of our six fast chargers will provide an EV driver with “46 miles of range in 10 minutes”! So come get your EV charge, a chalupa and drive away happy!
Cantina Opening
We celebrated a first with the opening of Kansas City’s first Taco Bell Cantina. This cool sports-themed cantina in Westport, MO was a hit with locals and features murals with the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals battling it out over Taco Bell.
Volunteering
We donated some of our time to build bikes for disadvantaged children for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Nevada.
Spotlights
We introduced some amazing people at all levels within the company on our company blog, including RGM Rudy Ramirez, Area Coach Ryan Kovac and Senior Area Coach Sean McGuire, to name a few.
Recognition
There are certain celebrations we count on with such high achieving crews, like honoring the newest members of DRG’s Champions’ Club, Golden Bell winners and Signature Restaurant achievements, and other top performing leaders throughout the company.
Scholarships
We celebrated the success of eight of our own being named Live Más scholarship winners with awards ranging from $5,000 to $25,000 each!
RSC Remodel
We remodeled our Restaurant Support Center (RSC) in Las Vegas, NV to be better than ever, complete with a custom mural and artwork throughout, a high-end lounge and coffee bar, a new training room, and plenty of space to gather and collaborate.
Interviews
DRG President SG Ellison interviewed about the success of the 60-year-old Taco Bell brand on Taco Bell’s “Recipe for Restless Creativity” podcast.
Core Value Recap
We promoted our core values by sharing them companywide at our 2022 Leadership Summit. DRG’s core values, which aren’t new but now seem more official are: 1) We do the right thing. 2) We are authentic. 3) We are innovators. 4) We have fun!
Social Stats
DRG is growing its social media presence on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn. In 2022, our Instagram account saw the most shares with our highlight reel from the annual Champions’ Club reward trip, which was in beautiful San José del Cabo this year.
No one is more deserving of an award than Patrick Thantacheva. Patrick is the Director of Risk Management for DRG and he has been named a Claims and Litigation Management Alliance Professional of the Year award finalist in the Young Industry Professional category for DRG.
Receiving a nomination for the CLM award is a huge accomplishment. Nominees are evaluated on strict criteria, including the following:
- Demonstrates a dedication to and passion for the industry.
- Advances the profession through collaboration, education, inclusion, and development of their peers and community.
- Contributes to the success of their company or client through strong practices, or development of a transformative or innovative process.
- Active within claims or litigation management organizations outside their own company or firm.
They must show dedication to the company, willingness to grow, and contribute to the success of their company.

Patrick will be attending the 2021 CLM Annual Conference from August 11-13 in Atlanta. This year’s conference is the premier annual event for professionals in the claims and litigation management industries. Patrick will be involved in interactive educational sessions and fun networking events. From CLM’s website: “All participants can select from more than 100 collaborative educational sessions focused on all facets of the industry. Premier Panels feature some of the top minds in the industry.”
And Patrick is no doubt one of the top minds in the industry. The CLM Conference is an amazing opportunity for Patrick to learn and grow in the business community. Congratulations Patrick!
